Ruby joined us from Silver Sepp Kennels, based in Idaho.
Along with Mermaid, also from Silver Sepp, these girls were the first of our new arrivals to join us in our big adventure in Alaska.
Ruby settled in straight away and apart from deciding to come into season almost as soon as she arrived, she has taken to life with us without any complications at all.
As a running dog, she has shown herself to be a fine sled dog and a decent leader. Her main failing so far is a tendency to assume that any stop on the trail is because we are going to turn around and go back the way we came. This caught me out the first couple of times, but now as long as she gets the "Line Out" call when we stop, she stays out front.
